Altough the graphics are a bit of a turn off for me. In short, it's a heavily combat focused monster taming game. Also, spells are given to monsters with spell gems and can only be used by monsters of the same class as the gem, with certain exceptions, and every monster can carry a piece of equipment to boost it's stats or give it a special trait. There's also a perk system to give various benefits to your teams, with said perks being different depending on which class you picked when starting the game. In this game, you are very encouraged to discover synergies between different monsters to create your team. Other than battles, you navigate through some kind of mystery dungeons with varying curios. This game is mostly non stop battles against monsters, so you need to like that (there is turbo mode to make it less tedious). Originally posted by Pohnny Did you also play Siralim by any chance? What did you think of that? Actually playing siralim 3 right now. I might still try out Nexomon though, just to see what's up because the reviews are good :D I understand what you mean though, but I personally love the pixel art style as it reminds me a lot of the older Pokémon games :D I wouldn't call the game's graphics low persé, rather just different. I personally really like the breeding aspect of monster crown. Yeah Monster Crown seems pretty different in that aspect then. And of course, graphics aren't comparable, monster crown is on the very low end, but I feel like it allows it to put ressources elsewhere.Ĭouldn't bother with nexomon though, it's a very inferior pokemon game in terms of gameplay, and is permanantly scarred by the fact that it was a mobile game first, and it feels like one even now on steam Hmm, I see you. The world is dangerous, doesn't hold your hand, and has a concept of being able to create hybrid monsters from breeding and fusing (though I think fusing isn't in the game yet). Temtem still feels a lot like pokemon though still succeeds at being different, but monster crown has a different feel of its own. But Monster Crown's style made me think of old school Pokemon so I went for that one first :p Monster crown and temtem feels completely different even though they are monster taming games.
